Bind fields with {FIELD} in any text or barcode value. These sample values drive the live preview and the printed output. In production these columns come from the Sage work-order view (ZQRBC1V1): MFGNUM, ITMREF, ITMDES, EANCOD, and so on.
Native printer code for the selected engine. Text, boxes, lines, barcodes and QR map to native commands; raster images embed from raster (omitted in this text view). Merge fields are filled from the current data set. TSPL text sizing uses the scalable font and may need calibration on the PEX engine.
Sends raw ZPL to the printer through the local NBS print bridge. Every print is written to the audit log; use History to view or reprint.
What the print bridge has available. The optional pieces (AI, SQL, Sage) only need setting up if you want them; without them the designer still prints and demos with sample data.
Describe the label, or a change, in plain English — the assistant edits the canvas and you can Undo anything it does. Examples: "make a 120×105 serviette label with the product description, an EAN-13 of {EANCOD} and a work-order QR", "add a sequential serial number bottom-left", "add a best-before date 7 days out".
Published templates and their version history. Each publish creates a pending version; an approver promotes one to the live version, which is the only one operators and the print API can use.
Every print sent through the bridge, newest first. Reprint re-sends the exact job to its printer.
Paste or load a CSV. The first row is column names that match your {FIELD} merge fields. Each remaining row prints one label. Columns not used by the design are ignored; fields the design uses but the CSV omits keep their base value.
Add a SQL Server connection and a SELECT query. Load pulls the rows into the batch — one label per row, columns become {FIELD} merge fields. Connections are saved in this browser; the bridge runs the query read-only over ODBC. For a quick demo without a database, use Load sample.
Reusable groups saved from your designs (kept in this browser). Insert places a copy as a new group you can move and edit.
Build a GS1 element string from Application Identifiers (AIs). Pick AIs and enter values; the result is applied to the barcode and rendered as GS1-128 or GS1 DataMatrix, with FNC1 / field separators handled automatically.
On-screen preview is reference-accurate. FNC1 handling in ZPL (>8) and TSPL (GS) output should be verified on your printer.
